Translators needed!
The Basic Analysis and Security Engine (BASE) project has just added the ability for people to choose a language that the system will use. To further this, we need people who are willing to translate the language file into their language..
If you are interested, please email us at base@secureideas.net.

BASE 0.9.9 (release candidate for 1.0)
I just wanted to let everyone know that the 0.9.9 release of BASE is available as of tonight the 28th of Oct. This release fixes a number of bugs and continues the work on the user authentication system. We have also started work on the generation of PDF reports.
We would appreciate all feedback and bug reports as this is hopefully the last release before 1.0!
Thanks to everyone that has reported bugs and asked for features.

BASE 0.9.8 Released
BASE is the Basic Analysis and Security Engine. It is based on the code from the Analysis Console for Intrusion Databases (ACID) project. This application provides a web front-end to query and analyze the alerts coming from a SNORT IDS system. The BASE project is proud to announce the immediate release of the newest version. This version adds PHP 5 support along with a user authentication system. We have also changed the look and feel of the application and fixed a number of bugs. Working with the Snort and BASE community, we have tried to incorporate all of the features that users have asked for.
